Dr. Robert Soto was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a graduate of the University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco.
After graduating, he was selected to attend the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in Union City, California, where he received the award for the Resident of the year. This program allowed Dr. Soto to gain advanced training in Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Periodontics, Restorative Dentistry, Implants, Sedation, and treatment of medically compromised and anxious patients.
Prior to Dental School, he attended San Jose State University where he studied Marine Biology. Since then he has served as a volunteer at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito and at the Oakland Zoo.
Dr. Soto is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the San Francisco Dental Society and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also an instructor at the California Center for Advanced Dental Studies, teaching other dentists at UCSF Dental School, concepts in the art and science of cosmetic dentistry, on live patients. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, photography, basketball and DJing.
